L2M Rail is recognized by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Govt. of India, under the Start-up India initiative.
Research is an integral part of Lab To Market Innovations Pvt. Ltd., whose primary goal is to conduct fundamental research, industrial research or experimental development; and commercialize the results. We also undertake the development of commercially usable prototypes, proofs of concept and pilot projects to showcase our capabilities in the commercialization of our research. We protect the intellectual property generated in the process by filing patents. In the last five years, we have filed nine patents, and three of which were granted.

We are also registered as a ‘Start-up’ with the Karnataka Start-up Cell, Karnataka Biotechnology and Information Technology Services (KBITS), Department of IT, BT and S&T, Government of Karnataka.
L2M Rail is exempted from Angel Tax by the Income Tax Department, Govt. of India. Vide Intimation in F. No. F. No. 173/147/2019-ITA-I dated 17th July 2019, the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) has communicated that the provisions of clause (viib) of sub-section 2 of Section 56 of the Income-tax Act, 1961 shall not apply to us, irrespective of the dates on which shares are issued by us from the date of our incorporation.
