Graduated in Mechanical Engineering from IIT Kharagpur & did MBA from IIM Lucknow.
Initially worked in Tata Steel for 4 years in Tata Steel & then as Indian Railway Service of Mechanical Engineers under Ministry of Railways.
Worked in Indian Railways for 37 years in different capacities and at different places: Chittaranjan Locomotive Works manufacturing Electric Locomotives, Railway Divisions responsible for train operations, workshops for maintenance of coaches & wagons along with RDSO is responsible for the design, standardization, and testing of rolling stocks for Indian Railways, RITES for the export of LHB coaches to Bangladesh Railway.
Thus I have experience in manufacturing, designing, maintenance, project management, and also dealing with foreign clients.
