August 28, 2018: Co-founder of L2MRail, Shri G.S. Rao, was a speaker and panelist at the 2nd edition of SMART Railways Conclave, organized by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) at New Delhi. The conclave was specialized in the technological innovation on railways and provided a platform to discuss the key trends and developments, examine the main challenges, and highlight the emerging opportunities pertaining to projects/ investments in Indian Railways.
The SMART Railways Conclave focused on the role of modernization and digitization, cutting edge technology, energy efficiency, railways infrastructure, integrated freight solutions, world-class business analytics, and automated data collection to enhance customer service, sustainability, and connectivity across India.
The conclave brought together key policymakers from central and state governments, private sector players from India and abroad, multilateral/ bilateral funding agencies, financial institutions/VCs, project developers, contractors, and consultants. Hon’ble Union Minister for Railways, Shri Piyush Goyal, inaugurated the conclave. Speaking at the Smart Railways Conclave organized by FICCI, Mr. Goyal said that the railways was focusing on smarter project implementation.
On the occasion, the minister and other dignitaries released two knowledge papers, namely ‘FICCI-EY Report on Make in India in Railways Sector’ and ‘FICCI-AT Kearney Report on Technology: Transforming Railways Transportation’. Speaking at the Conclave, our Co-founder highlighted that the R & D is an integral part of all activities at L2M Rail, which allows us to continuously innovate for railways in India for the World.
